On an almost square canvas, a few very large and suspiciously bright leaves are seen emerging from an otherwise yellow backdrop of nature.

The artist painted this canvas using only his left hand, which gives it a particular flavor of spontaneity. Just looking at the plants and bushes of this landscape one can all but wonder if much of this was just intuition. The deliberate choice to paint using a limited color-range using only orange / yellow and brown hues makes it all the more impressive to the eye.

The texture of the color is very thick and it is painted with a lot of energy, letting the color stick and traverse multiple layers.

The base layer of the canvas was white and the artist chose to let it appear through the shapes so that it radiates the autumn sunset color onto the whole canvas.

It was All Yellow
