The special technique that Virtosu used to create this artwork means that there is a distinct difference between the flat background and the super-thick foreground object. The cactus seems to effectively emerge into existence and is basically cut-out on the canvas surface. This creates a seemingly poster-like effect that pops-out and catches the eye.
